Winter 2025 Newsletter
Dear Valued Customers,
We at Noga’s Landscaping would like to thank everyone for bearing with us through this unpredictable winter season so far. We began the year with an incredible November snow storm in which some properties had seen 10+ inches of snow! The last time snow fall accumulations like this have been seen this early in the year was almost 50 years ago per the National Weather Service. The snow has been fast and frequent so far this year but don’t worry because Noga’s has been prepared. We were able to get all equipment on sites by the time the first snowfall had started in late November. As the season begins to get colder remember ice will begin to form, so feel free to reach out so we can get your HOA salt prices for driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks. We would also like to state how hard our crews have been working in order to keep everything clean and accessible. We would also like to remind everyone that snowfalls bring long hours and high stress to our drivers so please be patient and respectful to our crews. As always feel free to reach out to Dave or Robert with any questions or concerns you have.
Sincerely,
The Noga’s Landscaping Team

Mid Summer 2025 Newsletter
Dear Valued Customers,
Hello all, as summer comes to an end, we at Noga’s Landscaping would like to thank everyone for sticking through a very crazy summer with us. As many know we have experienced an unpredictable rainfall, having and accumulation of approximately 10-12 inches of rain. This type of weather is simply impossible to prepare for. While the rain has been very consistent and that doesn’t mean the heat let up, we experienced many days with heat index up to 105 degrees. With these conditions there have been many weeds sprouting throughout properties and we are managing them by pulling and spraying to the best of our ability. The most common weed issue seen was crab grass which thrives in these conditions and we have treated the turf for it. We have completed 2 rounds of trimming during these conditions and have begun the 3rd round as well. Because of the amount of rainfall many people have began to notice their down spouts may be clogged. We at Noga’s would be happy to offer pricing for your HOA’s to determine what needs replacements and what needs clean out, so please feel free to reach out to the office so we can get these issues rectified before the cold winter months. As always feel free to contact the office, Dave, Robert, or Kevin with any questions or concerns you have.
Thank You,
The Noga’s Landscaping Team

Fall 2024 Newsletter
We at Nogas hope this newsletter finds you and yours healthy. We are continuing our normal services for fall time leaf clean up cutting down all perennials as needed. Please note we are not on a normal weekly day schedule due to length of time some properties take longer than others due to amount of clean up needed.

Spring 2024 Newsletter
Dear Valued Client,
As we celebrate our 32th anniversary of landscape and lawn maintenance at Nogas Landscaping, a couple things come to mind. Our success is due, in part, to our loyal customers and our team members. We will continue our commitment to providing the highest quality maintenance and design services you have come to expect from Nogas, coupled with superior customer service in the hopes of serving your property for years to come.
Wow what a season so far with record temps this Feb and start of March rest assured we are ready to go for the spring as you may have noticed we have had crews out getting a jump on spring services cutting down dormant grasses and doing cleanups of any sod damage and picking up trash. Below is a timeline of when to expect spring services to be completed by.
Dormant oil applications have begun and should be completed by the end of March. The first round of spring fertilizing will take place in April, as weather permits. Please be patient, as the weather during this time is often unpredictable and presents additional challenges to the maintenance of your property. Properties will be cut 1-2 times this April once again depending on the weather.
Also, spring is a great time to improve upon and renew your existing landscape and turf. Upkeep such as re-mulching landscape beds is one way to enhance your property and help to ensure healthy plants. We recommend re-mulching at least every two years with our premium Chocolate dyed mulch which keeps it color and texture longer to ensure you property is Looking beautiful it also encourages plant growth and prevents several weeds from forming in beds without groundcover. As with every spring, comes the opportunity for your spring walk-through. A walk-through will not only allow us to assess the property so that we may best care for it, but it will give you, the client, an opportunity to discuss any new ideas for landscaping design or concerns regarding landscape maintenance. Customers can schedule their walk-through by contacting one of our team members at our office at 815-462-4475. Please note that the best time to perform your spring walk-though is at the end of April or early May, as weather permits. This will allow time for perennials to bloom and a more accurate view of the property.
Again, we are happy to celebrate 32 years in business and look forward to another successful year of servicing your property with the highest quality of service and care.
Sincerely,

June 2021 Newsletter
June 2021 Newsletter
We at Nogas Landscaping hope this newsletter finds you and yours well as we begin the summer season.
Just a quick note on timelines — Grub control will begin at the end of June and should be completed by the end of July. If you have not returned the grub control proposal, and wish to be included, please contact our office as soon as possible to get on the schedule. Also, the first round of bush trimming should be completed by July 4th. Furthermore, it is never too early to make plans for the fall season. We are happy to schedule walk-throughs and assessments for upcoming maintenance at any time.
And because it wouldn’t be Illinois without constantly changing weather, we have to adjust our services accordingly. You may notice that during times of little to no rainfall or drought conditions, our mowing services will be cut back. Please be aware that this is a measure taken to protect the turf. Mowing the grass too short or too often in times of drought can have devastating consequences. The turf can become worn, injured or even unable to recover once the rain and cooler temperatures return. Keeping the grass higher will retain photosynthetic leaf material and aid in moisture retention. If you have any questions regarding this practice, please contact our office.
As always, we appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to provide the highest quality services. Stay safe, and contact us with any questions or concerns.
